Ode To Lizzy

One of my dearest friends since Jr. High is getting married next month and I have the honor of being one of her Brides Maids. After years of seeing each other through boyfriends and break ups, good times as single girls and a few good time that turned into not such good times... won't go into details there to protect the Innocent :) Liz is getting married!! I still remember meeting Liz in 7th grade. She was the tall brunette in my Math class who I instantly bonded with because of our same style of shirts (the shinny rayon with the see through sleeves... those were hot!) and our mutual friends Kelly, Lindsey and Laura. We were in separable all through Jr High and High School and added some more great friends to the group a long the way (Tae Tae). I love these girls! We have been through a lot together and have shared so many good memories together with more to come.
Everyone loves Liz. She is one of those friends who will always make you feel validated for your actions and feelings... or atlease love you regardless of what they are. She is loyal and wise and is always up for a good time as long as it doesn't involve large crowds of people. I am so happy about her up coming marriage and excited to see her furniture children... guaranteed to be very tall individuals!
Throwing her shower was a lot of work... but so much fun! And with everyones effort... it was a hit! Thanks Jaclyn for the delicious food! What a great menu you created! Lindsey, Taeler, Kelly and Chelsey did such a wonderful job on the decorations, centerpieces, desserts and dip. The game was even a lot of fun... I usually dread the shower games. I was amazed by how talented my friends have become. A special thanks to "Aunt Barbara" for the shower donation... that allowed us to be able to make Liz's day extra special.

Most of all... thank you to Liz's Grandma Jeanne for her words of wisdom to us all... "You lose 90% of your sex appeal if you open your own door.
Make the man do it for you!!!" Gotta love Grandmas! Even more reason to take a long time to exit the vehicle :)

I love Liz, too! In fact, I love all of you. You all look so gorgeous! I'm glad the shower was such a huge success.
