Like many of you... I got addicted to the Twilight series and read through all three of the books. Now I am waiting for the 4th book to hit the shelves to continue my constant nourishment of Edward, Jacob and Bella. It is raining and it puts me in the mood to cuddle up and read a good book. With out Edward to keep me company, I feel at a loss for what to read next. Any good suggestions to help fill the void? I know there are better things I can be doing with my time, but I need some good reading to take to the gym to tap into the creative/fantasy part of my brain. If you have found a good substitute until the next book comes out, will you please share here :)

I have NO suggestions on any other addicting book series...I haven't even read these yet! (I'm looking forward to starting them now that things have settled down a bit.) They must be really good though because I even heard one of the local TV hosts saying the exact same thing that you did...she was anxiously awaiting the fourth book and had no idea of what to read in the mean time.
Lori, I have a couple of suggestions. I LOVE Robin McKinley's books. I couldn't put down Hero and the Crown and Blue Sword. I am also just finished Daddy-Long-Legs and am reading the sequal Dear Enemy by Jean Webster. I wish I lived close to you and could loan you them. Carly turned me on to all of these. I too loved the Twilight Series. Happy Reading!
lori i read this book the journal of brett cohen a cople years ago.. i remember liking it.. its at desseret book!
There really isn't anything as fun as the Twilight Series but there are some great books out. Recently I've read: The Kite Runner, Atonement, 1000 Splendid Suns, The Memory Keepers Daughter, Garden Spells, The Golden Compass Series and my favorite since Eclipe was ... These is my Words. It's a diary from a girl living on the frontier - I couldn't put it down once I started.
Also I've found lots of good reviews and book suggestions on goodreads.com.

oh my gosh lori, SO Obsessed with Twilight too! I told myself I wouldnt give in to them, because come on...vampires?! I but I LOVE them!!!!! I've also gotten back into the CS Lewis books, namely the Chronicles of Narnia series...I just love how simple they are, but still so imaginative!
