Halloween Toes

I don't have a costume this year... but I did decorate my toes for Halloween! (yes... I have long toes, thanks dad :) A French Pedicure with back and orange strips. Funny thing happened while I was getting them done... I started talking to the lady next to me and she decided that she wanted her toes like mine. As we were talking we realized we are both "Lori". Not only that... we are both "Lori Lynn"!!! I thought that was cool :)

What happens in Scottsdale... shows up on my blog!

I have been slacking on my blog lately. Life gets busy and I forget to document some of the events as they pass. So I am trying to get back on track here.
For Lizzy's Bachelorette party she wanted to revisit her old college stomping grounds in Scottsdale Arizona. I didn't realize that this was Arizona's version of Vegas! There is one area that is just clubs and bars. Who could figure out what to choose?Liz knew from our past visits that we would have to make a trip to Axis Radius. This is definitely a "club". It was a fun, relaxing weekend and I was even able to visit with my sis-in law Noelle for a lunch trip to Sweet Tomatoes... Arizona's version of Soup plantation... one of my favorites! The theme for the weekend (which I missed because Me and Carrie drove... causing us to get there late due to traffic) Celebrity Trash. The room was decorated so awesome with Liz's Wall of Shame and some Doctored up photos of Liz and Derek on the cover of Star Magazine. My friends are super creative! Pictures are worth a thousand words... and in this case I will let them do the talking.

Welcome Cambria Davis Mangrum

My cousin Nicole and her Husband TY had there little girl yesterday. It was a rough Labor and little Cambria was delivered by C-Section. I love Nicole and Ty and can't wait to meet their first child. If she is anything like her parents, she is going to be a fireball, full of enthusiastic energy. Way to go Nicole!!! Good thing she wasn't a 8 pounder as predicted!
5 pounds 9 ounces, 19 inches

Celebrity Look a Like...???

I found this website and decided to see what celebrity I look like. Not sure about this... but it's kind of a cool "Morph"

Losing It!

This morning I was up early... getting ready to leave for my 6:30am pilates client, when I went to grab my keys in their usual place by my purse and they were gone! Not something you look forward to when you are trying to run out the door. So Haws was up and ready for the day (the guy wakes up around 5:30am to get stuff done in the morning before work... crazy!!!) and was helping me search. We looked EVERYWHERE! I had gone for a walk Sun morning, went from my car to the trash to the house... not having to use my keys to get in since Haws was home. Anyway... I remembered I had a spare to the car so left to meet my client, but couldn't get into the studio because it was empty and I had lost that key along with the rest! Poor Liz... I felt so bad! So I went home to search the dumpster. Let me just say here how much I love my husband! He is such a great guy. Through all of this he was searching with me, offering to let me take his car, and then putting this get-up on to go dumpster diving! If that isn't love, I don't know what it.
So we never found the keys. Now I am worried that they aren't lost... but taken. Worried I might go outside one day and find my car is missing, so I have to park in the garage from now on. We are making a trip to home depot tonight to get a new lock for the house so I don't come home to find someone in here taking everything. Am I paranoid??? Am I losing it? I think not... just taking precautions to keep me, Haws and our belongings safe. Don't you hate when you lose something??

Ode To Lizzy

One of my dearest friends since Jr. High is getting married next month and I have the honor of being one of her Brides Maids. After years of seeing each other through boyfriends and break ups, good times as single girls and a few good time that turned into not such good times... won't go into details there to protect the Innocent :) Liz is getting married!! I still remember meeting Liz in 7th grade. She was the tall brunette in my Math class who I instantly bonded with because of our same style of shirts (the shinny rayon with the see through sleeves... those were hot!) and our mutual friends Kelly, Lindsey and Laura. We were in separable all through Jr High and High School and added some more great friends to the group a long the way (Tae Tae). I love these girls! We have been through a lot together and have shared so many good memories together with more to come.
Everyone loves Liz. She is one of those friends who will always make you feel validated for your actions and feelings... or atlease love you regardless of what they are. She is loyal and wise and is always up for a good time as long as it doesn't involve large crowds of people. I am so happy about her up coming marriage and excited to see her furniture children... guaranteed to be very tall individuals!
Throwing her shower was a lot of work... but so much fun! And with everyones effort... it was a hit! Thanks Jaclyn for the delicious food! What a great menu you created! Lindsey, Taeler, Kelly and Chelsey did such a wonderful job on the decorations, centerpieces, desserts and dip. The game was even a lot of fun... I usually dread the shower games. I was amazed by how talented my friends have become. A special thanks to "Aunt Barbara" for the shower donation... that allowed us to be able to make Liz's day extra special.

Most of all... thank you to Liz's Grandma Jeanne for her words of wisdom to us all... "You lose 90% of your sex appeal if you open your own door.
Make the man do it for you!!!" Gotta love Grandmas! Even more reason to take a long time to exit the vehicle :)
