We are starting a book club with some girls from church and I am looking for recommendations for good books to put on our reading calendar. Have any of you read a book they feel is a "must read"? Also... if you are interested in joining us in the book club... let me know :)

I think that a book club sounds great. I have to read "The Buccaneers" by Edith Wharton once a year. I also recommend "Cold Sassy Tree" by Olive Ann Burns, and for adventure - "Last of the Breed" by Louis L'Amour (not a western). Have fun and keep us posted!

I have 28 years of book club books I can recommend. The list is too long to post. I'll give it to you later. I love that you are following in your Mother's footsteps!
I love reading some of the young adult books (they're shorter). Some of my favorites are Dicey's Song, Stargirl, Hatchet. And my all time favorite Gone with the Wind. I wish I lived closer I would love to join a book group!!

Im in a book club here in Tokyo...one of my absolute favorites from a little while ago was, "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lise See (I think)....LOVE IT..great for a girls group!!!!
