Haws was gone the last two nights for a paint ball trip to Reno with the boys in our church youth group They had some bad weather while they were there, but had a blast! I am glad he has opportunities to go out and have fun with the boys and I am always happy when he comes home.
But....
While he was away, I enjoyed some play time with the girls.
Thurs night I went to a friends house for a knitting night. (I will post about this later). We had fun staying up late on a weekday, knitting, talking and watching the office. I finally had to leave due to my early morning. Then I stayed up late on the phone with a girl friend and didn't get to bed until after 1200am. 530am comes really early when you go to bed that late.
Friday night I had a girls night with 3 of my close girlfriends. We went to my favorite restaurant, Open Sesame, walked around on 2nd street and then got frozen yogurt to take back to my one of their houses. I ended up spending the night since she lives down the street from where I had to work in the morning. I haven't slept over at a friends house for years! We stayed up late talking and watching the special edition DVD of Twlight.
Again, the morning and work came too fast... but it was so worth it.
I love being married and I love spending time with Haws, but there is something special about having girlfriends. Nothing really compares. Girls understand you, validate your feelings and are just so fun to hang out and "be girls" with. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful girlfriends in my life. Thank you to all of you who have enriched my life in so many ways and are a source of love, support and good times :)
I love you all!
