Calvin 7-10.5 months

When I fail to blog for months and months... I usually just pick up where I am at and don't try to play catch up. But when you have a sweet little boy who you want to document milestones for, you have to condense it all into one post.
This stage is my favorite stage with babies. They are so fun and interactive and learning new things all of the time. Calvin is simply a joy! I would call him a content baby... but now he is starting to get into the "I want it this way" stage. But really... he is pretty pleasant still.

At 7 months he was taking 2 solid (much needed) naps, enjoying eating solids, watching his brothers, discovering more ways to use his voice, sitting up like a champ.

At 8 months he became more interested in playing with toys, would roll around to get places or crawl backwards.

At nine months he discovered a funny way to get places. I wouldn't call it a crawl. It was more of a roll and scoot. He started feeding himself finger foods really well at this age. He loves to gibber jabber and wrestle with his brother. We battled some colds this month and he started to refuse to nurse. So I started pumping pretty exclusively. Eventually my milk supple started to diminish and by his 10 month bday I was done. It was still a painful process... but probably a lot better than if I had stopped nursing while still producing a good supply.

At 9 months his stats were:
17lbs (still 5-10%)
almost 28 inches (40%)
head 60%

Calvin started to really crawl right before his 10 month birthday.
He started getting more adventurous with his eating and tried grapefruit. He loves it! I just gotta watch him for he doesn't choke!

By the 11 month mark he is starting to seem interested in pulling himself up... but hasn't completely achieved success with it yet. He is getting to that wiggly stage where it is hard to hold him on my lap for very long. He loves chasing around his brothers, eating, sleeping, singing, dancing, clapping his hands and he thinks he is pretty funny. He is quite the charmer and is always flirting with the ladies. I still can't believe that he will be one soon! Luckily, he is in no hurry to grow up and still seems very much like a baby. He will still rest his head on my should while I rock him. He loves to cuddle.
I love this love bug of mine and feel so blessed to be his mother.
