I used the word "Summery" to describe this post for two reasons. This Sunday felt like a summer day ( I know summery is not a real word, but I like the sound of it!) and I wanted to sum up the day with a few pics.
After church, Haws and I headed out to soak up some of the sun at a near by park and read. I love the feeling of laying out in the sun with a good book on a lazy Sunday. I can't believe yesterday was 85 and today it was 60 and raining! Good thing we took advantage of the sun.
We had Cinnamon, Tom and Max over for dinner. When Max first arrived this is how he looked...
But once he realized he was in good hands, he looked like this....
This little guy is so cute and he has the biggest smile! I just love him.
This time it was Tom who was falling asleep. I can't blame the guy though. He had been up all night working over time. He works hard for his money!
Some people dress their kids alike... Cinnamon dresses her men a like. JK. I don't think Cin dresses Tom. These men just have the same taste in style :)
This may not look that appetizing... but it was! I made this crock pot recipe from Real Simple Magazine and substituted the beef with Venison. It was daring of me to serve venison when we had company, but Cin and Tom actually liked it! I really like venison. Maybe I just haven't had a bad experience with it yet. If you are adventurous in trying out new meats, I think you should definitely give it a try. A healthier alternative to beef.

thanks for the dinner. i didn't know if you were going to tell me what kind of meat it was (so i'm glad i asked first). i've been a little worried since i saw your post with the ostrich meat. i like the park pic too 'cause i can tell you are basking in the sun, while haws is trying to hide from the rays...funny!
