"Ta-da! I am 5 months old!"( Doesn't it look like he is saying that in this picture?)
The past month has flown by. Maybe because of all the holiday festivities and places to go and things to see.
5 months sure is fun with one exception. Rolling over. Not that I can't handle this new found favorite trick during the day, it is the night time that is sometimes a challenge. He will roll unto his stomach and then slowly scoot himself up until he is wedge up in the top corner of the crib. Stuck with no where left to go, so he starts crying. When he cries at night he will usually fall back asleep, but not when he is stuck in the corner. No one puts baby in a corner. So we will move him back down, put him back on his back and then hope we won't have to do it 3 more times that night. He is mostly sleeping through the night though, so I really can't complain.
5 Month highlights
- Holds his own bottle when he gets one
- Will occasionally roll from his back to belly and then his belly to back
- loves sticking out his tongue
- loves making motor boat noises with his tongue
- grabs and play with his feet
- can be very distracted while eating... this can be a pain!
- has reached for me
- can sit up on his own for a few seconds
- got his first case of eczema along with a nasty diaper rash. Poor guy
- will sometimes cry when I leave the room and get happy when I reappear
- loves when daddy gets home and shows his excitement by smiling, shaking arms and legs and squealing

Ruby used to do that same thing when she first started moving around...and its so frustrating because you KNOW they would sleep through the night if the didn't keep getting their head lodged in the corner!
oh my gosh i love him! little james just melts my heart... he is getting soooooo big!!!!!!!!11
he is so cute. i love him. i'm jealous he can already hold his own bottle - tanner didn't do that FOREVER! When Tanner couldn't reach the ground in the jumperoo we put pillows under it to make it so he could reach and jump! Try it - he will love it, and it will wear him out so he will go to sleep.
Cute cute cute! I want to see him again!
He's growing so fast! He's so adorable!
The time just zips by doesn't it?! What a big boy he is! I love all the monthly updates- why the heck I am not doing that via blog? It's fun to see how Malia is right there with James.. if not coming up behind just a little ;)
