We have been busy with all the fun the holidays bring. Here are a few of the things I have been working on.
We have gone the past few years to a live Christmas tree lot to cut down our own tree. The problem is the lot closes before Haws is home from work and our Saturdays were too booked to go then... so we opted for Home Depot. I think we will be going there from now on. The trees are great and the prices are the best we have seen! I love our tree. It is decorated full of memories.
Putting the lights up was quite the project. I took several trips buying and returning lights before I finally got it right. Putting them up was the easy part, but we don't have a whole lot to work with.
I made these cookies for a cookie exchange party I went to. I got the recipe from a friend and they are delicious! I will post the recipe on here. I hate to boast... but I think they were the best at the party :)
I then worked on making homemade candy with my mom and getting out the Christmas cards.
My mom is the best when it comes to candy making. I hope one day I can do it as well as she does on my own. I do love the time making it together :)
The house is all decorated, the goodies are made and I am almost done shopping. Luckily this little guy has been so good allowing me to get all this done while still spending quality time hanging out with this little man.
The spit up is a constant around here... I just had to post this pic! We had a little photo shoot with my friend Sara. I will post more of those later. I don't want to ruin anyones Christmas presents ;)
