In August we took a trip to CA with plans to meet the Neser family 2 days in St George. I was really looking forward to spending time with Jana and her boys in St George, since they were heading to Utah at the same time we were heading to CA.
We had fun swimming and playing around St G until night time came.
James and Davis loved the hotel life. Calvin loved it until it was time to go to sleep. Never again will we stay somewhere that we cant separate the rooms for the younger kids.
Calvin couldn't sleep seeing us in the bed next to him. So it was a rough night. Haws is amazing. He took him for a ride to get him to fall asleep. Got back to the room and we had been asleep for about an hour when James started yelling at Davis for being on "his side" and squishing him! The funny/not funny part was James was on Davis' side! Regardless... his rant woke everyone up including Calvin!
This time Haws took him for a drive, but Calvin woke up the second Haws tried getting him out of the car. So Haws gave up and took him to Denny's for a late night meal. Haws made friend with some guys who had been out drinking and were having a post drinking meal. The guy told haws how he wished he was married with kids... but couldn't get his act together. Before he left, he gave Haws a hug. At least haws got a funny story out of the late night.
Calvin was pretty much a mess the next day and none of us wanted to relive the bad night again. So we got refunded on our room and planned to leave that day after spending time with the Nesers.
We went to a cool red rock area that the boys had fun climbing around on and Jana and I got to catch up. I miss this woman.
We had plans to go to the childrens museum before we left, but Calvin fell asleep in the car after lunch and we decided we should hit the road.
In CA we were able to get together with the Long Beach crew and their kiddos. How cute is this bunch?
We hit up the trampoline bounce house with Tanner and Monte.
I hit the 30 week mark with baby Hank
Had a fun night out with long time friends... who I love and miss.
Took the boys to the beach. James loves the sand... I hate it. But I will sacrifice for my kids. Haws had to work while we were in town, so luckily there was a day that he was able to come to the beach with us. I don't love doing the beach with all the kids by myself yet.
The highlight of the trip was getting to meet baby Evyn! She was born while we were in St George and she is beautiful! I am so excited that I have nieces to spoil :)
Haws had to go home before us :( So when we went to the Angels Game, my grandma got to come in his place! It was so much fun. And it was fun having one on one time with James.
Delicious Sundays in Angel helmets
We got travel pillows which worked out great for the drive home the following day.
The boys had so much fun on our trip! They knocked out pretty soon after we hit the road. Aren't they so cute when they are sleeping?? :)
